Hanoi, 6 June 2011- The Asia Injury Prevention (AIP) Foundation hosted a Thai road safety delegation of senior government officials from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Management (DDPM)andThai private sector stakeholders in Hanoi. The delegation visited AIP Foundation’s non-profit Protec helmet factory and discussed the possibility to develop a similar non-profit helmet enterprise in Thailand.

Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative (GHVI) co-founders, the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP Foundation) and the FIA Foundation, worked with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to donate 1,000 helmets to primary school students in Manila today.

18 March 2010, Ziguinchor Senegal – On 20 March 2010 the Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative in co-ordination with Laser International and the Ministry of Transportation launches its first in-country project, the Senegal Helmet Vaccine Coalition to reduce traumatic brain injury and fatalities caused by road crashes. Funded by the FIA Foundation and the World Bank Global Road Safety Facility, the national project is part of the Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative, which aims to promote motorcycle helmet wearing throughout the developing world creating partnerships with government ministries, the private sector and non-governmental organizations.
